The No1 Racing Genoa has rarely been used. It needs some minor alteration to fit the replacement headsail furler that was fitted in 2013

Owner thinks the Spinnaker probably dates to around 2000 and has been used only 3 or 4 times by the current owner

The inventory includes a spinnaker pole and a jockey pole with associated lines and blocks

The Genoa winches are self tailing and also port and stbd sided which is not common.

Headsails are roller reefing. Main is slab reefing controlled at the mast. Sail has 3 reefing points but there are only 2 lines so have to rig 1&2 or 2&3. Can be changed without dropping the sail.

Only lines currently run back to cockpit are Genoa halyards x 2, topping lift, main outhaul, vang and spinnaker x 2

Broker's Comments

A very pretty and what appears to be a very well maintained and cared for Contessa 32. The Contessa 32 was designed with seaworthiness and fast cruising in mind and she succeeded in providing this to her owners. Towards the early 80's the Jeremy Rogers built yacht began to become uneconomical and so during the 80's and 90's there were a small number built mainly by Mike Slack and this yacht is one of those.
She looks to be a great example with good condition throughout. She has an electric windlass and has had her saloon windows replaced recently. She also boasts a 2003 engine with a Darglow Feathering prop fitted in 2018 and electric windlass fitted in 2022.
The standing rigging and headsail furler were replaced in 2013 and included an emergency inner forestay and stainless steel Highfield lever.
