Broker's Comments

The Rolf Magnusson Albin Ballad stands out as one of the best cruiser / racers built in the seventies. These slim, fast vessels have stood the test of time well and are still very popular as sporty family cruisers today.

The accommodation has 4 full size berths plus a couple of snug pilot berths, handy for the kids if needed. There is a good sized rear facing nav table, a fully gimballed cooker and a foldaway saloon table.

Known for their seaworthiness and performance in both fair and cheeky conditions, these well designed/built vessels make for an ideal fast passage making cruising yacht and are equally good for racing around the cans, perhaps along with others from the class association.

This example has been well maintained and included are the following extensive upgrades;

Engine replaced with a Beta 20 in 2016, new cooling system, exhaust system, drive train and folding propellor also replaced at that time
AIS transponder (Cactus) installed 2017
New mast and standing rigging fitted in 2018
New cooker and oven installed 2019
New sails in 2020
New boom and associated running rigging, including lazy jacks and drop bag fitted in 2022
Throttle and gear box replaced 2022
All 3 batteries replaced 2022
2013 new LED Navigation lights.

This boat really does appear to be in particularly good condition; she has a lovely shine to her hull and topsides and has obviously been well looked after and maintained with many extensive and costly upgrades and safety features as detailed.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for an early viewing of this lovely classic!
